Refund policy

This Right of Withdrawal and Refund Policy applies only to purchases of physical products from themystery.fun (operated by TheMF LLC). Unless the purchase agreement is exempt from the right of withdrawal, the buyer can cancel the purchase of the item in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act. The buyer must notify the seller of the decision to exercise the right of withdrawal within 14 days from when the withdrawal period begins. This period is counted in calendar days, and if it ends on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday, it is extended to the next business day. The withdrawal deadline is considered met as long as the notice is sent before the 14-day period expires. The buyer bears the burden of proof that the right of withdrawal was exercised in time, so the notification should preferably be in writing (for example, via email to office@themystery.fun or by letter).

The withdrawal period begins as follows:

  • For the purchase of a single item, the 14-day withdrawal period starts on the day after you receive the item.
  • If a subscription is purchased, or the agreement involves regular delivery of identical goods, the period starts on the day after you receive the first shipment.
  • If the purchase consists of multiple deliveries or parts, the period starts on the day after you receive the final delivery.

If the seller did not provide the buyer with information about the right of withdrawal and a standardized withdrawal form before the agreement was concluded, the withdrawal period is extended to 12 months beyond the original 14-day deadline. The same extension applies if the seller failed to inform the buyer about the conditions, deadlines, and procedures for exercising the right of withdrawal. If the required information is supplied within this extended period, then the withdrawal period will expire 14 days after the buyer receives that information.

When the right of withdrawal is exercised, the item must be returned to the seller without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date you notified the seller of your withdrawal. The buyer is responsible for the direct costs of returning the item, unless otherwise agreed or unless the seller failed to inform the buyer that such return costs must be borne by the buyer. The seller may not charge any fee for the buyer’s use of the right of withdrawal.

The buyer may inspect or test the item in a reasonable manner to determine its nature, characteristics, and functioning, without losing the right of withdrawal. However, if the testing or use goes beyond what is reasonable and necessary to assess the product, the buyer can be held liable for any diminished value of the item.

The seller is obligated to refund the purchase price to the buyer without undue delay, and in any case no later than 14 days from the day the seller received the withdrawal notification. The seller reserves the right to withhold the refund until the returned product is received, or until the buyer provides documentation that the product has been shipped back, whichever occurs first.
